Security Supervisor (FT)

JOB SUMMARY: Oversees all Security functions, protects all assets of the Casino, and provides a safe environment for all guests and employees. Assists the Manager in enforcing Policies and Procedures and assists with training and development programs. Oversees Security staff during designated shift.

QUALIFICATIONS: Native American preference. High School Diploma or equivalent preferred. Must be twenty-one (21) years of age, or older. Having three (3) years of guest service experience, possessing an Alcohol Awareness card, and having one (1) year of supervisory/management experience all preferred but not required. Military, police, or casino security experience, preferred. Must have a valid driver’s license and able to meet our insurance criteria. Must maintain First Responder certification.

PHYSICAL, MENTAL, AND ENVIRONMENTAL DEMANDS: Must have the ability to work independently, make sound management decisions, and handle multiple projects with the ability to prioritize such projects. Must possess excellent verbal and written communication skills along with diagnosis and problem solving skills. Must be able to work and stand inside and outside in extreme weather conditions. Must be fair and consistent in administering Casino and Security Policies and Procedures.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS: Safeguard guests, employees and Casino assets. Monitor gaming activities for adherence to company policies. Train and schedule Security staff. Evaluate and recommend promotions, demotions, and terminations. Interview and hire qualified personnel. Responsible for direct supervision of Security staff on designated shift while fairly and consistently administering all policies and procedures. Carry out all objectives and programs. Notify Security Manage, Shift Manager, and other management personnel of pertinent activities. Inform on-coming Security Supervisor of all incidents incurring during shift. Review all daily reports describing activities and incidents involving Security prior to submission of reports to the Security Director.

Must be able to meet the attendance guidelines of the position, adhere to and enforce all departmental and company policies, and attend all mandatory trainings. Must comply with and enforce all safety policies and rules.
