Job Description:
The Environmental Services Aide plays a vital role in maintaining a safe, clean, and aesthetically pleasing care environment. This position requires interaction with patients, visitors, and staff members.
Main Responsibilities:
- Cleans all assigned areas throughout the facility, adhering to safety and infection control guidelines.
- Maintains department standards, ensures survey readiness, and delivers clean linen as directed.
- Utilizes chemicals and supplies efficiently, reporting any damage or issues to Maintenance Services.
- Operates department equipment safely and efficiently, emptying vacuum bags as needed.
Additional Duties:
- Performs special projects as assigned, following department cleaning schedules.
- Reports fire and safety concerns, ensuring adherence to safety practices and guidelines.
- Cleans emergency spills promptly and ensures doors are locked to cleaning closets at all times.
Requirements:
- High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.
- No experience required.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
- Excellent communication and listening skills.
- Ability to maintain strict confidentiality when required.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently with minimal direction.
- Ability to communicate effectively with all levels of leadership, staff, patients, and visitors.
Physical Requirements:
- Prolonged periods of standing, bending, and reaching.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds at times.
