A Key Role in Diagnostic Radiography
St. David's South Austin Medical Center is seeking a dedicated and skilled Radiology Technologist to join its team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for performing diagnostic radiographic procedures, selecting and operating radiography equipment, and practicing safe radiation protection.
About the Job
- Perform a variety of diagnostic radiographic procedures, including ER, surgical, fluoroscopic, and portable radiographs.
- Select and operate radiography equipment, imaging, and associated accessories to successfully perform procedures.
- Implement safe radiation protection protocols in accordance with hospital guidelines.
- Collaborate with physicians and radiologists in procedures requiring sterile technique.
- Administer radiopaque contrast media as needed for radiologic exams.
- Deliver exceptional patient care during exams.
- Maintain accurate records of patient clinical history and procedure information.
Benefits and Requirements
The successful candidate will have graduated from an accredited program in Radiologic Technology or meet requirements for certification as a Medical Radiologic Technologist in Texas. Certification by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) is also required.
