We want your knowledge and expertise Job Summary and Qualifications POSITION SUMMARY The Interventional Radiology Technologist is responsible for all aspects of diagnostic and interventional procedures performed in the Specials Suite. Performs technical duties utilizing various types of equipment to image selected vascular structures or therapeutic intervention. Principles of positioning, radiographic sciences, and radiation protection are exercised with specialized techniques. Assists and supports the physicians with invasive procedures. Has responsibility for patient charge entry, availability of procedure supplies and inventory management. Maintains professional judgment and conduct that is complimentary of the ARRT Code of Ethics and St. David’s Healthcare Values. JOB REQUIREMENTS EDUCATION : Graduate of an American Medical Association- approved program in Radiologic Technology. Associates degree preferred. EXPERIENCE : 6-12 months related experience. Prefer experience in angiography and therapeutic intervention lab. LICENSED / CERTIFICATION REQUIRED : MRT Texas Medical Radiologic Technologist Certificate or Temporary Medical Radiologic Technologist Certificate Certified in Radiology by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists American Registry or Radiologic Technology (ARRT, RTR) ARRT Vascular-Interventional and / or Cardiac Interventional Radiology- preferred BLS required per St. David’s HealthCare policy St. David's South Austin Medical Center , which is part of St. David's HealthCare.
