Position Title

Compensation Our employees are our most valuable asset; therefore, we offer competitive pay and benefits. The pay range for these positions starts at $53,140 - $59,045 a year for full time, depending on qualifications (i.e., licensure and experience). This salary reflects a 40-hour workweek, annualized. Any agreed-upon reduction in weekly hours will be reflected in salary commensurately. Please inquire with interest. Schedule:
- Monday through Friday, 40 hours per week.
- Schedule will be both flexible and coordinated in conjunction with organizational needs.
Location:
Work from Home with monthly in-center meetings at Nicollet Mall location.
Program Summary:
This individual holds billing/claims processing, accounts receivable / claims management duties, and will help serve as the liaison between payers, funding sources, clients, and internal clinical and program staff at St. David's Center for Child & Family Development. This position is part of the Billing Office team that strives to provide exceptional external and internal customer service related to benefits, authorizations, billing/claims processing and account management processes.
The Billing Specialist must be a problem-solver, highly task-oriented, detail-oriented, and a team player. Key responsibilities include processing billing, efficiently managing accounts receivables / collections, helping verify eligibility as well as obtaining authorization and managing re-authorization of services including required action and communication with payers, clients & families, clinical, program and other St. David's Center staff.
Position Overview:
- Processes billing, claims, and adjustments) of a cyclical / predictable nature (MA, County, Private Pay) and of a rolling nature (Commercial, BC, PMAP) for specific payers to be determined by the Manager of Billing.
- Manages accounts receivables and collections on claims (of a cyclical / predictable nature and of a rolling nature) for specific payers (as determined by the Billing Supervisor).
- Develops expertise in specific (yet different) "products" and learns how to assist customers with all aspects of the product (e.g. sliding fees, scholarships).

Job Qualifications:
Education
- 2 Year or Associates Degree in Accounting or equivalent experience.
Experience
- Minimum of 3 years accounting and/or 3rd party billing experience or a combination of relevant education and experience.
- Previous experience in EHR billing systems preferred.
