What are the responsibilities and job description for the Stroke Program Nurse Manager position at St Dominic-Jackson Memorial Hospital?
Accountable and responsible twenty-four hours per day for managing, guiding, developing, and implementing safe clinical practice and high-quality patient care throughout St. Dominic Stroke Services program. Works collaboratively with EMS, hospital administrators, physicians, nursing staff, and various other hospital staff members to improve clinical outcomes and processes of care for all stroke patients at St. Dominic Hospital and throughout our network of care. Utilizes in-depth knowledge of neurology to drive improvement through various roles and alliances. This position will identify opportunities for growth and expansion throughout the State of Mississippi. Accountable for the development of stroke-ready programs, personnel, and quality throughout our network. Accountable for adherence to all regulatory and professional standards. Leads in promoting the Christian mission of healing and nurturing in the program, throughout the organization, and in the community. Reports to Neuroscience Service Line Administrator. Major problem-solving responsibilities of this position include the understanding of economic, demographic and governmental changes impacting the state healthcare system; anticipating and measures competitor strategies, market shares, and impacts on rural outreach education with patient services delivered through St. Dominic Hospital. Nursing certification is required for this role.
