Full-time LVN Position in our Assisted Living Community - Mon - Friday - 10:00 PM - 6:30 AM
St/ Dominic Village, a Senior Care Community, is are looking for a compassionate LVN to join our growing team! The overnight LVN is responsible for nursing care of the residents in our Assisted Living Community, including administration of medications and treatments, receiving and transcribing physician orders, monitoring CNA activity and care of the residents daily and communicating effectively with staff, residents, families, physicians and all members of the interdisciplinary team.

Responsibilities
- Participate in the planning and coordination of total patient care in conjunction with the RN and the physician's plan of care, and follow the nursing care plan for each patient
- Accurately report and record the patient's condition and care, including signs and symptoms which may be indicative of change
- Prepare clinical/progress notes and summaries
- Assist the patient with the activities of daily living while teaching appropriate self-care techniques
- Provides and maintains a safe environment for the patient
- Assist the physician and Registered Nurse in complex nursing situations
- Follow universal precautions whenever giving any aspect of patient care
- Follow emergency procedures in the event of any catastrophic event, incident, e.g., accident, injury or significant change in the patient's condition
Qualifications
- This individual will possess the following:
- Be a graduate of an accredited school of nursing for licensed vocational nurses and possess a current license for the State of Texas
- Basic knowledge of nursing theory and practice
- Basic knowledge of drug administration via all approved and ordered routes, including IV and infection control techniques
- Basic knowledge of drug actions and adverse reactions
- Willingness and consciousness to provide quality customer service in keeping with facility standards of practice
- Willingness to comply with and uphold the facility’s vision, mission statement, standards of practice and policies and procedures
- Must willingly demonstrate the ability to work in a team oriented environment
- Must demonstrate initiative – be a self starter with job duties assigned
- Must be certified in IV therapy
- Have a working knowledge of EMR (Electronic Medical Records) and computer literate
