St. Edwards Child Development Center, a nationally accredited program, is looking for a strong, energetic Early Childhood Assistant Teacher / Floater. This position is part time.
Duties
The Early Childcare Assistant Teacher / Floater is responsible for :
- Assisting the teachers in the classrooms as directed
- Provide care and protection for assigned children
- Supervise the children's play activities by participating with children in group games and free play, enforcing safety rules, encouraging children to develop positive social relationships with peers and with adults
- Work with staff to develop the potential of each child
- Aid children in routine care activities such as diapering, toileting, eating, dressing and other activities to foster appropriate habits.
- Assist in maintaining the health and safety of the environment, including light cleaning duties
- Participate in staff meetings and training session as directed.
- Meet yearly continuing education requirements
- Maintain confidentiality at all times
Requirements
We are looking for energetic and dependable individuals who are at least 18 and :
Nice To Haves
ECE Teacher or assistant Teacher certification through the state (or willing to get within 60 days of employment)
Associates Degree in Early Childcare Education or CDA
