Duties
The Early Childcare Assistant Teacher/Floater is responsible for:
- Assisting the teachers in the classrooms as directed
- Provide care and protection for assigned children
- Supervise the children's play activities by participating with children in group games and free play, enforcing safety rules, encouraging children to develop positive social relationships with peers and with adults
- Work with staff to develop the potential of each child
- Aid children in routine care activities such as diapering, toileting, eating, dressing and other activities to foster appropriate habits.
- Assist in maintaining the health and safety of the environment, including light cleaning duties
- Participate in staff meetings and training session as directed.
- Meet yearly continuing education requirements
- Maintain confidentiality at all times
Requirements
We are looking for energetic and dependable individuals who are at least 18 and:
*Pass required state background/fingerprint checks
- Are able to sit on the floor, bend, squat, and lift children up to 40lbs
- High energy and the ability to work well with others (staff, children and parents)
- Infant/child CPR and First Aid Certification (or willing to get within 60 days of employment)
- ECE Teacher or assistant Teacher certification through the state (or willing to get within 90 days of employment)
- Must be high-energy and self-starter
