School of Behavioral & Social Sciences
The School of Behavioral & Social Sciences at St. Edward's University invites applications for the Business Manager of the School of Behavioral & Social Sciences (BSS).
The Business Manager will report directly to the Dean of the School to provide administrative and financial support for all the departments within the School. The Business Manager will be responsible for the day-to-day business support of the School to include financial reporting and transactions, collaborating with department chairs, faculty, and HR, for onboarding and payroll functions for faculty, staff, and student employees. The Business Manager will also provide administrative oversight of the School's webpages and social media as well as assist with events as needed.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree preferred with at least one year of administrative experience or an equivalent combination of college coursework and directly related experience.
- Experience in a higher education institution is preferred.
- Excellent communication skills, ability to coordinate workloads, and manage multiple and competing priorities.
- Collaborative spirit.
- Time management and organizational skills to complete assigned tasks without supervision.
- High level skills and ability to use spreadsheet software (e.g., Microsoft Excel) and comfortable with software applications used in administrative support and office management preferred. Familiarity with web design or experience creating web or social media content preferred.
- Attention to detail and timeliness of high-quality task completion.
