Marketing and Communications Division
St. Edward's University, a nationally ranked, independent Catholic university invites applications for the position of Director of Marketing in the Division of Marketing and Communications beginning March 24, 2025. This position will report to the Vice President for Marketing and Communications. The successful candidate will direct marketing programs to increase awareness and conversion of prospective undergraduate and graduate students and support retention of current students. This role will work closely with positions throughout the Marketing and Communications Division and also colleagues across university divisions including Enrollment Management, Student Affairs, Academic Affairs.
For consideration, the candidate must meet the qualifications below:
- Holds a bachelor's degree in fields related fields to marketing and communications
- 8 years of related marketing experience
- 3 years' experience in a supervisory role, managing multiple employees or interns
- Experience building and refining results-oriented demand generation programs
- Ability to effectively work within a martech stack, preferably with Slate, Drupal, Google Analytics experience
- Understanding of university enrollment strategy and approach
- Successful track record with project management and cross−team coordination
- Experience working with creative and content development teams
- Analytical skills and the ability to make data-driven recommendations
- Ability to proactively provide solutions to business challenges and align strategically with other university leadership roles creating and implementing marketing strategies while also leading execution of the marketing plans
- Organized, articulate, creative and thrive with self-directed work
- Track record of piloting ideas, iterating, measuring and improving marketing programs
The Director of Marketing role will include:
- Develop and execute an integrated marketing strategy to drive qualified leads through the funnel.
- Oversee program and data management, measurement, analysis and optimization of marketing activities.
- Lead and mentor a team that delivers enrollment oriented email, social media, advertising programs, content on the university website and marketing data.
- Develop and oversee demand generation vendors and activities.
- Collaborate with the leaders of content, communications, creative, web and external affairs.
- Manage the marketing relationship and forge strong partnerships with Enrollment Management, Student Affairs, Academic Affairs, including cross department working teams.
- Serve as a marketing leader providing strategic direction that is aligned with the St. Edward's University strategic plan and serve on the Marketing and Communications divisional leadership team and the Enrollment Leadership Team.
- Other duties as assigned.
This is an exempt position and your expected work schedule is Monday through Friday. As an exempt employee your schedule may vary based on the number of hours needed to meet the job responsibilities. The individual holding this position may need to be available early morning, evening, and weekends to meet the needs of the department.
