Lόpez Scholars Program Manager (Part-Time)

Reporting to the Vice Provost for Academic Policies and Student Success

St. Edward's University of Austin, Texas invites applications for the part-time, non-benefits eligible position of Lopez Scholars Program Manager. The Lόpez Scholars Program Manager is responsible for the successful engagement and outcomes for a cohort of 15 Lόpez Scholar students. The position will support the University Lόpez Scholars, and engage with the Hector and Gloria Lόpez Foundation (HGLF). This part-time position will assist the Vice-Provost, University Advancement, and Sr. Director Academic Counseling & Support in coordinating the grant.

For consideration, graduation from a four-year college or university required. Work-related experience with first generation college students is preferred. One to two years administrative and/or grant experience required, in a higher education setting preferred. Excellent analytical, verbal & written communication skills. Excellent human relations and communication skills and the ability to work with professionalism and confidentiality. Proficiency in handling multiple priorities, meeting deadlines, and problem-solving is also required. Ability to work effectively with individuals from diverse communities and cultures. Must have the ability to demonstrate intermediate skills in MS Office MS 365 (Word, Excel). Uses various software applications, such as spreadsheets, virtual platforms (Zoom, Teams). Experience with Banner, Qualtrics, SAL, and other academic software. Bilingual preferred: English/Spanish with the ability to understand and to make oneself understood to Spanish speaking individuals.

Essential Responsibilities Include:

• Develop and implement scholar activities, coordinate student support, collect and analyze data, report scholar outcomes, and report updates to university leadership and the HGLF.
• Plan, develop, attend, and executes program events, activities, projects, events, and other support tasks (Lόpez Scholar Orientation, Leadership Summit, etc.)
• Maintain and disseminate program files, electronic data for reporting, student information, and/or other documentation as required by the grant.
• Monitor and maintain each student's academic progress, services, and participation in the program
• Access, coordinate, and collaborate with other student success areas within the university to provide support for each student's success. (Advising, Resident Life, Career and Professional Development).
• Attend quarterly meetings with HGLF staff, and provides updates on program outcomes and metrics to the foundation.
• Attend all Lόpez Foundation on-campus events
• Compile and submits the annual the Lόpez Foundation Report.
• Responsible for regulatory and policy compliance as it applies to the position.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
