The Elementary Principal serves as the educational and spiritual leader and chief administrator of St. Elizabeth Ann Seton School. He/she is responsible for implementing and managing the policies, regulations, and procedures that nurture Catholic identity; pursue academic excellence, financial success and enrollment growth in accordance with the Archdiocese of Milwaukee. Achieving academic excellence requires that the Elementary Principal work collaboratively to lead and nurture all members of the school staff and to communicate effectively with parents, members of the community, and colleagues in other districts and schools. Inherent in the position are the responsibilities for planning, curriculum development, program evaluation, extracurricular activities, personnel management, financial management, emergency procedures, resource scheduling, and facilities operations.
Duties and Responsibilities:
1. Develops and implements a vision and school climate reflecting Catholic identity in collaboration with the school and parish communities. This climate should support and celebrate the Catholic faith by incorporating prayer, liturgical celebrations, service projects, and faith-based curriculum into the daily life of the school.
2. Creates a master schedule for instructional programs in order to meet the diverse needs of the students consistent with the mission and academic goals of the school.
3. Supervises, evaluates and provides for the development of teachers and staff. Maintains an instructional program of high quality and integrity. Promotes healthy staff morale and professionalism.
4. Administers and maintains compliance with the Wisconsin School Choice Program, Special Needs Scholarship Program, and DPI. Collaborates with teachers and interventionists to ensure the effectiveness of the SNSP program.
5. Represents the school to various audiences and supports all necessary functions (Institutional advancement, Enrollment, Development, Marketing) for the school’s management and success.
6. Works collaboratively with, and seeks counsel from the Archdiocese of Milwaukee’s Office of Schools Finance and Human Resources departments.
Qualifications:
1. Knowledgeable and supportive of Catholic School Mission and Philosophy
2. A practicing member of the Roman Catholic Church, able to partake in the sacraments
3. Effective oral and written communicator
4. Excellent organizational, communication, budgetary, and management skills
5. Bilingual in Spanish Preferred
6. Master's degree and Administrator's License required or in process
7. Minimum 5 years successful experience in teaching (elementary, middle, secondary)
8. Experience as an administrator in a Middle performing urban K-12 school
9. Ability to work collegially with faculty, parents and parish community
10. Must be able to resolve conflicts in the spirit of a Catholic faith climate and fosters academic professionalism among the staff
11. Must be able to listen to teachers and staff and attempt to understand their perspective
12. Continues his/her own professional development
13. Significant experience with curriculum development and instructional methodology
14. Program experience in Wisconsin School Choice and Special Needs Scholarship Programs

Pay: $55,000.00 - $82,000.00 per year
