Pay Range: $28 - $32/hour

Requirements:
- Must have valid Food Handler's Certificate
- CDM (Certified Dietary Manager) License, or
- DSS (Dietary Services Supervisor) License
- ServSafe Certificate
- Previous Skilled Nursing and/or Long Term Care experience
- Managerial Experience preferred (1-2 years minimum)
- Knowledgeable of dietary practices and procedures as well as the laws, regulations, and guidelines governing dietary functions in the skilled nursing and long-term care facility.
- Must possess leadership ability and willingness to work harmoniously with and supervise other personnel.
- Must maintain the care and use of supplies, equipment, etc., and maintain the appearance of dietary service areas; must perform regular inspections of dietary service areas for sanitation, order, safety, and proper performance of assigned duties.
Responsibilities:
- This is a Full-Time position, may be required to work weekends on occasion
- As Dietary Supervisor, you are responsible to oversee the preparation of food in accordance with current applicable federal, state, and local standards, guidelines, and regulations
- Within our established policies and procedures you will assure quality food service is provided at all times
- You will direct, evaluate, and monitor the staff assigned to your department
- Run day to day operations within the dietary department
- Manage food service employees – scheduling, hiring, performance management
- Prepare meals in accordance with planned menus and make only authorized food substitutes
- Prepare food in accordance with standardized recipes and special diet orders
- Review care plans as necessary to assure that the resident's dietary needs are being met
- Order food and kitchen supplies within department budget
