The Clinical Supervisor is a working clinical staff member that provides clinical support to the faculty, residents, staff, and is a coach/mentor for the clinical associates. They will serve as a role model for the clinical associates by promoting teamwork, integrity, and continuous practice improvement. The Clinical Supervisor ensures efficient flow of all patients and strives to always maintain exemplary service and satisfaction standards. They are also responsible for compliance with all OSHA, CLIA, HIPAA, and Joint Commission regulations; ensuring completion of all duties vital to business operations. The Clinical Supervisor is a highly visible go to person that is always responsible for creating a positive impression with patients, family members, and other visitors to the clinic. Demonstrate respect, dignity, kindness and empathy in each encounter with all patients, families, visitors and other employees regardless of cultural background.Job Description:
- Provides direct patient care as a working clinical staff member. The associate shall serve as a role model for the clinical staff, promoting teamwork and conveying a positive attitude. They will assist the clinical team with issues or questions.
- Monitors inventory weekly for all medical supplies, medications, and vaccines. Orders what is necessary.
- Ensures compliance with VFC program; serve as the primary VFC coordinator, uploads monthly data, performs monthly reconciliation and ordering, demonstrates and aches correct storage and handling, and keeps manuals up to date.
- Ensures compliance with lab, HIPAA, OSHA, Joint Commission, Patient Safety, and other regulatory agencies.
- Assists in hiring process and training of new clinical associates. Assess and evaluates the clinical associates performance. Provides feedback concerning performance and professional development.
- Works with the front office and scheduling specialist to promote efficient patient flow and scheduling. Responsible for creating the monthly clinical associate schedule in coordination with resident and faculty schedules.
- Attends faculty meetings and monthly department meetings and report updates to clinical staff. Conducts monthly clinical team meetings to discuss issues, changes, workflows, etc.
- Actively alert for ways to improve quality scores, customer service, patient flow, increase productivity, and improve utilization of resources.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Education, Credentials, Licenses:
- Registered Nurse.
- Licensed in the state where work is being performed.
- Obtains required biannual CEUs, including all state required courses.
Kind and Length of Experience: 4 yrs. nursing experience including 1 year of leadership experience.
