The EMS Practical Skills Coordinator is responsible for all coordination of the student skills lab aspects of the EMT and Paramedic education program.
Job Duties:
Oversee all aspects of students skills lab education including maintaining appropriate student to instructor ratios and instruction of skill stations as needed.
Maintain lab and equipment in an organized and ready state.
Establish and maintain lab syllabi and handbooks.
Review of student skills documentation for completeness and provide feedback.
Remain compliant with all KCTCS and St. Elizabeth Healthcare training, policies, and procedures.
Track student lab skills and communicate progress to students, lead instructor, clinical coordinator, and program coordinator.
Document lab assessment of Cognitive, Psychomotor, and Affective domains of learning for students.
Assist with didactic instruction when available.
Performs other duties as assigned.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
Education, Credentials, Licenses:
Associate degree or commensurate work/education experience.
Unrestricted Kentucky Paramedic licensure
Paramedic Educator credential with Kentucky Board of EMS
BLS, ACLS, and PALS Provider credential
Specialized Knowledge:
Have strong management, leadership, interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills.
Knowledge of EMS education curriculum.
Knowledge about the programs evaluation of student learning and performance.
Knowledge of state, local, and accreditation regulations and requirements.
Proficient in Microsoft Office products and navigation of online EMS student tracking platforms.

Documented experience as an EMS provider
