Job Description
Customer Service-
- Responds to requests for service promptly. Interacts courteously with staff, patients and visitors and plans work to minimize disruption. Observes proper etiquette regarding patient privacy.
- Documents all work performed by completely and accurately completing maintenance logs, work orders and in- service records and submits them to the appropriate parties for review and recording.
- Perform repairs to beds, stretchers and wheelchairs. Identify, troubleshoot, and correct problems with HVAC, Plumbing, Medical Gas, Mechanical, and Electrical systems.
- Beds troubleshoot and repair and perform Preventive Maintenance on Stretchers and Wheelchairs.
- Replace bulbs and ballasts.
- Change nurse call items, televisions, receptacles, plugs, and trace tripped breakers.
- Rebuild faucets; unclog sinks and toilets.
- Replace traps; vacuum breakers; aerators, and medical gas outlets.
- Repair and move furniture.
- Hang and install miscellaneous items. Perform minor HVAC repairs.
- Read and interpret drawings and manuals to troubleshoot problems. Assist other trades and complete other work as assigned. Assist in snow removal.
- Exhibits the use of safe practices regarding electrical safety, lock- out/ tag out procedures, confined space entry, asbestos and mold abatement, welding/ cutting, universal precautions, and personal protective equipment, Observes all safety precautions in the use of hand and power tools.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
