Position Summary: The Director of Clinical Care and Operations is a registered nurse (RN) responsible for overseeing quality care and ensuring compliance in a multi-site Adult Day Care setting. Reporting directly to the Chief Executive Officer (CEO), the Director of Clinical Care and Operations plays a pivotal role in ensuring the highest quality of participant care, regulatory compliance, and site management. This role requires strong leadership, clinical expertise, and operational oversight to drive excellence in nursing services.
As a member of the Leadership Team, the Director of Clinical Care and Operations will contribute to strategic planning, policy development, and administrative decision-making. Additionally, this role serves as a liaison between the Chief Executive Officer and Site Directors, ensuring consistency in clinical care and compliance across all locations.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Leadership & Oversight
· Supervise and Manage Site Directors – Provide direct oversight, mentorship, and performance evaluations for Site Directors to maintain high-quality care standards and operational efficiency.
· Provide Leadership in Regulatory Compliance – Ensure all centers adhere to state, federal, and local healthcare regulations, conducting internal audits and risk assessments as needed.
· Ensure Clinical Excellence – Oversee the clinical operations of all adult day care centers to maintain high standards of participant care and adherence to best practices.
Operational Responsibilities
· Develop & Facilitate Training Programs – Research, implement, and conduct ongoing education and competency training for Licensed Practical Nurses (LPNs) Site Managers, Direct Support staff caregivers, and other staff.
· Quarterly File Audits – Perform regular audits of participant records and care plans to ensure compliance with documentation standards and best practices at all Centers.
· Onboard New Site Directors – Implement structured orientation, training, and mentorship for new Site Directors, ensuring smooth integration into the organization.
· Provide Site Director Coverage – Step in to cover Site Directors as needed, ensuring continuity of leadership, patient care, and operational workflow.
· Prepare for Compliance Monitoring – Co-lead preparation efforts for both internal and external compliance audits, including state and regulatory agency inspections with all Centers with compliance.
Collaboration & Communication
· Implement Best Practices – Stay current on nursing research, emerging trends, and innovative care models to improve participant outcomes and staff performance.
· Support Continuous Improvement Initiatives – Identify areas for process improvement and lead initiatives that enhance efficiency, staff performance, and participant satisfaction.
Cook Center Supervision
· Manage the Cook Site – Oversee daily operations, staffing, and clinical care at the designated Cook Site to ensure efficient and high-quality service delivery.
· Conduct Facility Tours – Work with marketing leading tours for prospective participants, families, and stakeholders, showcasing the quality and safety of care provided.
· Administer Prescribed Medications – Ensure proper administration of medications and monitor participants for any reactions.
· Maintain Accurate Medical Records – Keep up-to-date and precise medical records for all participants.
· Develop and Manage Activity Programs – Plan and oversee age-appropriate activities and outings that comply with regulations.
· Ensure Timely File Updates – Maintain updated participant files on a consistent and proactive basis.
· Engage with Families & Stakeholders – Foster strong relationships with participants, families, caregivers, and external healthcare providers to ensure a holistic approach to care.
Required Qualifications & Skills:
Education & Experience:
· Registered Nurse (RN) with an active and unrestricted Missouri state license.
· Minimum of 5-7 years of supervisory experience in a healthcare or adult day care setting a must.
· Experience managing clinical staff, compliance initiatives, and site operations in a regulated healthcare environment.
Technical & Professional Skills:
· Leadership & Team Management – Ability to inspire, mentor, and guide support staff, Site Leads and administrative teams toward achieving organizational goals.
· Regulatory & Compliance Knowledge – Thorough understanding of state, federal, and local healthcare laws governing adult day care services.
· Strategic & Critical Thinking – Ability to analyze data, anticipate challenges, and develop solutions to improve clinical and operational performance.
· Exceptional Communication Skills – Strong verbal and written communication skills for interacting with staff, families, executives, and regulatory bodies.
· Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), and data analysis tools.

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $85,000.00 - $95,000.00 per year
