Position Summary
PRN Registered Nurse (LPN/RN) reports to the site manager at our Florissant location. This position plays a crucial role in ensuring the well-being, comfort, and safety of our participants by providing high-quality nursing care. The PRN Registered Nurse (LPN/RN) must have strong clinical skills, the ability to work collaboratively with a team, and a commitment to fostering a positive and supportive environment for our participants. As a PRN Nurse, you will step in to support daily healthcare operations, monitor participant health, and assist in delivering care tailored to the unique needs of an adult day care setting.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Conduct initial and ongoing assessments of participant health, including vital signs, medical history, and overall well-being.
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians, ensuring accuracy and adherence to guidelines.
- Monitor for any changes in health status and respond appropriately, coordinating with the care team as necessary.
- Collaborate with physicians, therapists, and caregivers to develop and implement individualized care plans.
- Provide education and guidance to participants and their families regarding health conditions, medications, and self-care strategies.
- Perform emergency procedures and administer first aid/CPR as needed.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date electronic health records (EHR) and documentation of all care provided.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives, offering recommendations to enhance patient care and operational efficiency.
- Ensure compliance with state and federal healthcare regulations as well as organizational policies.
- Adhere to infection control, safety protocols, and HIPAA regulations at all times.
- It's a plus if you hold current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification and participate in ongoing professional development.
Qualifications:
· Current LPN or RN license in Missouri
· BLS/CPR certification (required).
· Minimum of Experience in Nursing (preferably in geriatrics, IDD, adult day care, long-term care, or community health).
· Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills.
· Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to provide compassionate care to participants and collaborate with families and team members.
· Ability to work flexibly in a PRN capacity, covering other centers as needed.
· Knowledge of infection control, safety procedures, and chronic disease management is a must.
· Ability to lift participants safely and effectively as part of your daily duties.
· Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
· Proficient in Microsoft Word, Outlook, and Excel.
· Have explicit attention to detail; ability to work independently, adapt to ever changing priorities, and exercise good time management skills.

Pay: $37.73 - $40.00 per hour
Expected hours: No more than 20 per week
