Job Summary:
As a Program Manager, you will lead the planning, execution, and delivery of complex robotics projects from inception to deployment. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure that projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.
Key Responsibilities:
Project Planning and Execution:
- Develop and maintain project plans, schedules, and budgets for autonomous mobile robotics projects, ensuring alignment with strategic objectives and customer requirements.
- Coordinate with cross-functional teams including engineering, manufacturing, software development, and quality assurance to execute project tasks and deliverables according to plan.
Risk Management and Issue Resolution:
- Identify project risks and develop mitigation strategies to address them, ensuring that potential issues are proactively identified and resolved.
- Monitor project progress and performance, identifying deviations from the plan and taking corrective action as needed to keep projects on track.
Stakeholder Communication and Management:
- Serve as the primary point of contact for internal and external stakeholders, providing regular updates on project status, milestones, and deliverables.
- Facilitate communication and collaboration between stakeholders to ensure alignment on project goals, requirements, and priorities.
Resource Allocation and Management:
- Manage project resources, including personnel, equipment, and materials, to ensure efficient utilization and optimization of project outcomes.
- Work closely with resource managers and department heads to allocate resources according to project needs and priorities.
Quality Assurance and Compliance:
- Define and implement quality assurance processes and standards to ensure that deliverables meet or exceed customer expectations and regulatory requirements.
- Ensure compliance with relevant industry standards and regulations, including safety standards for autonomous mobile robotics.
Budget and Cost Management:
- Monitor project budgets and expenditures, tracking costs against budgeted amounts and identifying opportunities for cost savings and optimization.
- Provide regular financial reports and updates to stakeholders, highlighting budget variances and explaining their impact on project outcomes.
Customer Relationship Management:
- Build and maintain strong relationships with customers, understanding their needs and requirements, and ensuring that projects are delivered to their satisfaction.
- Act as the customer advocate within the organization, representing their interests and ensuring that their feedback is incorporated into project planning and execution.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Business Administration, or related field; Master’s degree preferred.
- 3 years of experience in project management, preferably in the robotics, automation, or related industries.
- Proven track record of successfully managing complex projects from initiation to completion, including experience with autonomous systems or robotics projects.
- Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to effectively manage cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to think strategically while executing tactically.
- PMP or other project management certifications are a plus.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with agile and waterfall project management methodologies.
- Familiarity with robotics development processes, including hardware and software development lifecycles.
- Knowledge of industry standards and regulations related to autonomous mobile robotics, such as ISO 13482 and ISO 10218.
- Experience with project management tools and software, such as Microsoft Project, JIRA, or Asana.
