iDirect is in search of a Category Manager who is a dynamic and results-oriented Sourcing Professional to join our team. This role is reporting to the Director of Global Procurement.
Responsibilities
- Strategic Sourcing: Developing and executing a comprehensive sourcing strategy aligned with business objectives.
- Supplier Relationship Management: Building and maintaining strong relationships with key partners including vendors and manufacturers.
- Cost Reduction: Identifying cost-saving opportunities through negotiation, supplier optimization, and process improvement.
- Market Analysis: Conducting thorough market research to identify trends, risks, and opportunities.
- Contract Negotiation: Negotiating favorable terms and conditions with suppliers in joint effort with Legal team.
- Risk Management: Assessing and mitigating supply chain risks.
- Supplier Performance Management: Monitoring and evaluating supplier performance against KPIs.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Working closely with marketing, sales, Engineering, and Operation teams to support them for onboarding of new partner/vendor and help to maximize the profitability of a specific product or service category.
- Ability to coach and mentor buyers in Procurement team.
Qualifications
- Position is in Herndon, Virginia, U.S.A. Flexibility to work Hybrid
- Bachelor’s degree in business, Finance, Supply Chain or related field.
- 5-10 years of sourcing Experience, high-tech background and experiences are preferred.
- Strong analytical, critical thinking and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Proficiency in SAP, Oracle are preferred.
