As a Sr. Supplier Quality Manager you will manage supplier quality activities, develop, and establish supplier related quality processes, monitor process performance and monitor/report on supplier KPI’s. You will lead, coach, and develop a team of Supplier Quality Engineers and oversee their activities for the site, across all programs.

At ST Engineering MRAS, we are also rapidly augmenting our maintenance, repair and overhaul (MRO) capabilities leveraging the company’s expanded aircraft nacelle portfolio as well as it’s materials and processing expertise.

What YOU Will Do

  • The participation and leading of effective cross-functional relationships with Quality, Sourcing, Operations and Engineering to support supplier performance and improvement initiatives. Work with suppliers in problem resolutions including beginning and end of root cause and corrective actions.
  • Establish and utilize group and departmental metrics to drive related organizational and supplier performance with a focus on risk-based management strategies while driving continuous improvement.
  • Employee selection, training, performance assessment, work assignments, salary, recognition, and disciplinary actions.
  • Must be able to develop, coach, and mentor a team of Supplier Quality Engineers.
  • Ability to travel ~30% to the domestic and international supply base as needed.

What YOU Must Bring To Succeed

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering with a minimum of 10 years in Supplier Quality or Quality Engineering. In lieu of a degree, the candidate must have a minimum of 15 years Supplier Quality or Quality Engineering Leadership experience in Aerospace.
  • Must have at least 5 years of Supervisory/Managerial or progressive leadership experience.
  • A strong working knowledge of Supplier Quality principles; aerospace quality requirements (AS9100, ISO9000, AS9102, AS9145, AS13100, customer and regulatory requirements);
  • Experience with NADCAP special processes.
  • Proficient in continuous improvement methodologies, 8D problem solving, and knowledge with 6Sigma methodologies.
  • Ability to read drawings, understand GD&T and perform inspections using basic gaging.
  • Understanding and application of statistical process control and measurement system analysis
  • Experienced in the use of APQP by performing reviews and approval of APQP requirements.
  • Trained in auditing to aerospace standards.
  • Negotiate and manage quality agreements with suppliers.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with key suppliers by fostering collaborative partnerships.
  • Excellent communication skills providing a clear vision of strategy, goals and processes for key stakeholders

Estimate salary range for this role: $120,000 to $160,000 per year. ST Engineering considers several factors with extending job offers, including but not limited to candidates’ key skills, relevant work experience, education/training/certification, job level, and work location. Base salary is only one component of our competitive Total Rewards package.
