What are the responsibilities and job description for the Intervention Specialist position at St. Francis de Sales School?
Overview:
We are seeking one dedicated Middle School Intervention Specialist to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience working with Middle School students with special learning needs, possess a current State of Ohio Intervention Specialist License, and have or be willing to pursue BCI/FBI Background Check and Virtus training through the Diocese of Cleveland.
Responsibilities:
-Work effectively with students on IEP's or with Service Plans delivering Specially Designed Instruction for Identified needs arising from disabilities such as Learning Disabilities, -Cognitive or Intellectual Impairment, or Other Health Impairments such as ADHD.
-Facilitate the growth of academic, behavioral, social and functional skills.
-Work with Identified students to complete state or required school testing.
-Participate in data collection, evaluation and communication contributing to Multifactored Evaluations and Evaluation Team Reports for referred students.
-Develop and Implement IEP Goals and Objectives
-Work collaboratively with special ed staff, regular ed staff, school administrators and local districts.
-Collect date, monitor and record progress, complete progress reports
-Communicate effectively and work collaboratively with parents.
