Our dedicated team of professionals provide caring and professional inpatient, outpatient and support services to adults and adolescents suffering from psychiatric or addictive disorders. Additionally, the Geriatric unit provides acute care for seniors in psychiatric crisis.
- Acceptable oral and electronic communication skills, ability to maintain information as highly confidential
- Telephone etiquette, and customer service skills by phone and face-to-face
- Familiarity with medical and psychological terminology preferred
- Skills in dealing courteously with the public and other staff within the organization
- Basic knowledge of human behavior or principles of psychology useful
- Skilled in prioritizing and managing time, and problem-solving skills
- Use of appropriate social skills, including demonstration and respect for staff and patients, and empathy toward patients
Essential Job Functions include, but are not limited to
- Providing clinical work expertise to hospital wide programs
- Intake Assessments
- Level of Care staffing, completion of a registration, and initial pre-certifications
- Facilitate callers to optimal level of care or resources
- Conduct clinical assessments utilizing appropriate forms and in a timely manner
- Document calls and related information on Intake Call form and enter data
Qualifications
Minimum Education
- Bachelor’s degree in related field Required
- Master's degree in social work, Psychology or related field with specialization in mental health Preferred
Required Skill
- Requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgment and the ability to work with minimal supervision
- Must beable to work in a stressful environment and take appropriate action
Certifications
- Basic Life Support (BLS)
- Handle with Care Certification or CPI within 90 days of hire
- Current professional license Preferred
- Problem Solving skills and demonstrable de-escalation techniques
- Valid Driver's License Preferred
