- Provides nursing care under direction of the Registered Nurse or Patient Family Care Coordinator as outlined by the Interdisciplinary Plan of Care.
- Participates in admission, transfer and discharge of nursing care as a member of the Interdisciplinary Team.
- Participates in admission, transfer and discharge of nursing care as a member of the Interdisciplinary Team.
- Reports and documents all observed medication errors, adverse drug reactions and unusual occurrences by completing an incident report.
- Provides for measures which provide for the safety of patients (i.e. side rails), procedures (i.e. Fall Risk Protocol), bed exit alarm and communication with Registered Nurse.
- Maintains an attractive and comfortable environment for patients with special consideration to the cleanliness of rooms, ventilation and lighting.
- Adheres to and effectively communicates Hospice's philosophy, goals, objectives and policies to patients/families, physicians and staff.
