About the Role
The Saint Francis Health Services for Senior Citizens (HSSC) program offers bathing and personal care services for elders who are unable or challenged to provide this type of care for themselves. The HSSC professional team of Nursing Assistants - Community Senior Care provide in-home bathing and personal care services for Hawaii's kupuna throughout Oahu. Our team of Nursing Assistants are trained to preserve the dignity of our kupuna and help them maintain proper hygiene.
Essential Functions of the Job
- Travels to client homes or residences to provide bathing and personal care services.
- Assists with or gives baths and shampoo in varying settings (bed, tub, shower, etc.).
- Performs related tasks as requested by client / caregiver, relating to personal care, (e.g. oral hygiene, shaving, linen changes).
- Performs duties in a professional manner showing sensitivity to specific client needs.
- Keeps Staff Coordinator informed of conditions relevant to the client's social and emotional needs
- Adheres to proper safety measures with regards to patient and self
- Exhibits knowledge of infection control practices and procedures. Follows appropriate PPE practices when delivering services.
- Maintains patient privacy and confidentiality.
- PERFORMS OTHER RELATED DUTIES AS NEEDED
