What are the responsibilities and job description for the Religion Teacher position at St. Francis High School?
Primary Job Duties
- Adhere to established classroom procedures and school regulations to maintain a structured learning environment.
- Engage in additional duties including, but not limited to, homeroom supervision, lunch supervision, and event supervision.
- Fulfills the role of a substitute teacher as needed, ensuring continuity and progression of the curriculum in the absence of fellow instructors.
- Participate in activities like Open House, Back to School Night, and others, actively supporting the school community.
- Uphold the faith community within the school, promoting moral values in line with our tradition.
- Teach two Religion classes, delivering instruction rooted in Catholic theology and aligned with Franciscan values.
- Design curriculum that adheres to the United States Conference of Catholic Bishops' guidelines and makes learning engaging and relevant.
- Monitor student progress, provide regular feedback, and adjust teaching methods to meet individual learning needs.
- Collaborate with co-teachers and the Religion Department Chairperson to ensure consistency and excellence in instruction.
- Integrate faith formation into daily lessons, encouraging students to develop a personal relationship with God.
- Frequently ascend or descend stairs or ramps; perform movement in various positions to accomplish tasks in different environments; often remain stationary, either standing or sitting for prolonged periods; move about to accomplish tasks or move from one classroom to another. Occasionally adjust or move objects up to 20 pounds in all directions. Regularly perform repetitive motions, including wrists, hands, and fingers.
Salary : $70,000 - $85,000
