Join Our Team as a Middle School Dean of Students!

We are seeking a passionate and dedicated individual to serve as our MS Dean of Students at St. Francis Indian School AKA Sicangu Oyate Ho Inc. in St. Francis, South Dakota. This role plays a critical part in shaping the lives of our middle school students and creating a positive and supportive learning environment.

Responsibilities:

• Provide leadership and guidance to students, teachers, and parents in matters related to student behavior and discipline
• Implement and enforce school policies and procedures to promote a safe and respectful school community
• Facilitate conflict resolution and mediate disputes between students
• Coordinate and oversee school-wide programs and initiatives to support student development and success
• Collaborate with teachers and staff to identify at-risk students and implement interventions

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in education, counseling, psychology, or a related field
• Previous experience working with middle school students in an educational setting
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to remain calm and composed in challenging situations
• Commitment to promoting a positive and inclusive school culture
