Middle School ISS Monitor

Job Description

As an ISS Monitor, you will be responsible for supervising students who have been assigned to In-School Suspension (ISS) due to behavioral issues. Your role is crucial in maintaining a safe and productive learning environment for all students. You will work closely with teachers and administrators to ensure that ISS students are completing their assignments and following school rules.

The ideal candidate for this position is patient, empathetic, and firm. You should have strong interpersonal skills and the ability to effectively communicate with students of varying backgrounds. Experience working with middle school students is preferred, but we are willing to provide training for the right candidate.

Key responsibilities include:

• Supervising ISS students during class periods
• Assisting students with their assignments and schoolwork
• Enforcing school rules and expectations
• Documenting student behavior and progress
• Collaborating with teachers and administrators to support student success
