Job Description :
- Responsible for the delivery of safe patient care using the nursing process of assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation.
- Provide direct patient care within the scope of practice.
- Direct and guide patient / family teaching and activities of other nursing personnel while maintaining standards of professional nursing care in Telemetry.
- Accountable for the care provided in the Emergency Department.
- Communicate changes in a patient's clinical condition, including results of diagnostic studies and symptomatology, with the physician.
- Respond quickly and accurately to changes in a patient's condition and / or response to treatment.
- Knowledgeable about EMTALA regulations and the reporting of child / adult abuse to appropriate agencies and social workers.
- Maintain patient privacy and confidentiality.
