We are currently recruiting for a part-time Hospitality Greeter to join our award-winning team. As the first point of contact for our guests, the Hospitality Greeter sets the tone for every visit. This part-time role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced, guest-focused setting and values creating warm, memorable experiences. This position will be responsible for warmly welcoming and checking in all guests as they arrive at the St. Francis Visitors Center. You will be trained to have a thorough understanding of all our experiences with the expectation to redirect reservations or guide walk-ins in deciding the best experience for their needs. Placing guests in the right experience is the first step in creating memorable guest experiences. Some previous hospitality experience is desired, but a passion to engage with guests in a meaningful way while possessing a positive, can-do attitude and thriving in a team-based culture is a must.
Note: The anticipated pay range for this position is between $19.00 and $22.00 per hour
This is a year-round, part-time position, working 2-4 days a week, generally Sunday through Wednesday, for approximately 6-8 hours a day. Additional days/hours may be required as needed. Flexibility to work weekdays, weekends and holidays (day and evening shifts) is required. Overtime is occasionally required.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
· Greet guests promptly as they arrive at the Visitors Center and check them in with a gracious smile.
· Utilize reservation systems to accurately track reservations as guests arrive.
· Monitor guests’ needs prior to being seated for their experience.
· Escorts guests to appropriate locations for specific experience.
· Educates guests about St. Francis’ story, history, wines and winemaking techniques as needed.
· Recommends and promotes St. Francis wines, wine club memberships and merchandise.
· Provides general tourist information, recommends restaurants, hotels, wineries and activities and attractions for guests.
· Assists with making reservations as needed.
· Reviews various programs available to guests, such as Wine & Food Pairing options and wine tastings.
· Assists in staging seated experiences as needed.
· Controls traffic to designated areas throughout the Visitors Center.
· Serves wine to guests’ vehicles when needed.
· Restock wines and merchandise daily.
· Assists in tagging merchandise.
· Communicate any Tasting Room problems or issues that arise to the Tasting Room Management.
· Helps to maintain the cleanliness of the Tasting Room.
· Fully supports the Winery’s policies and procedures.
· Fully supports the Winery’s commitment to the established Safety practices and policies.
· Responsible for compliance with Winery’s sustainability policies and practices which are economically viable, socially acceptable and environmentally sound and support conservation, energy efficiency and recycling.
· Special projects and other responsibilities as required.
Requirements
·Previous hospitality, customer service, wine sales, food service or related experience.
· Knowledgeable about wine.
· Ability to assist Visitor Center staff in providing guest experiences in keeping with St. Francis core values and brand image.
· Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills, with good presentation skills and the ability to communicate with visitors in a confident, knowledgeable, warm and friendly manner and enthusiastically promote wine and merchandise sales, wine club memberships, W&F Pairing experiences and other Visitor Center programs and activities.
· Excellent customer service and teamwork skills.
· Professional appearance and demeanor.
· Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
· Must be at least 21 years of age.
