Job Summary :
Primary function is to provide spiritual care in the home to terminally ill patients and their families. To provide an assessment of the patients and familys spiritual needs and to provide counseling to meet those needs. Makes reasonable efforts to facilitate visits by local clergy, pastoral counselors or other individuals who can support the patients spiritual needs. Participates as a core member of the Interdisciplinary Group.
Job Qualifications :
- Education : College degree preferred; Master of Divinity, preferred.
- Licensure : Per state guidelines, if any.
- Experience : Experience as a Chaplain in hospice preferred.
- Skills : Working knowledge of community spiritual and other resources. Good interpersonal skills. Strong assessment and time management skills.
- Transportation : Reliable transportation. Current auto liability insurance and driver license if personal vehicle is used for work.
