Work Role Overview:
The St. George Medical Clinic seeks a highly skilled nursing assistant to provide comprehensive support to healthcare professionals in delivering patient care and education under the supervision of a provider and nurse manager.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with healthcare teams to assist with examination, treatment, and medication administration
- Take vital signs, maintain accurate records, and perform administrative tasks with high attention to detail
- Clean and maintain exam rooms, stock medical supplies, and order equipment as needed
- Perform selected nursing duties, including injections, blood draws, and EKGs under proper supervision
- Contribute to policy development and adhere to confidentiality standards
Additional Responsibilities for Behavioral Health Department:
- Administer standard forms such as PHQ-9, GAD-7, MDQ, PCL-55 as required by protocols
- Screen patients for depression, tobacco use, and monitor pap, mammogram, and colonoscopy schedules, notifying PCPs when necessary
- Review patients' immunization records and recommend vaccinations as appropriate
- Monitor diabetes and hypertension cases, scheduling follow-up appointments as needed
Work Environment:
