Director of Student Billing

Collierville Campus (1880 Wolf River Blvd., Collierville, TN 38017)


St. George’s Independent School seeks a passionate, entrepreneurial, and hard-working individual who is energized by work with students and families to serve as Director of Student Billing beginning immediately.

Type: full time, 12 month


Duration: Annual Letter of Agreement


Minimum Education: Bachelor’s degree with a major in accounting or business or another related field preferred


Experience:

  • two years of accounting/ bookkeeping-related experience preferred
  • School or non-profit experience preferred
  • Experience with FACTS Management software, Paycom payroll software, Microsoft Dynamics Great Plains accounting software and Veracross student information system preferred
  • Experience with Google suite required




The successful candidate will possess skills and experience that would include the ability to:

  • Maintain and administer all aspects of student account billing to ensure all account information is reflected accurately and timely in the student billing system including:
  • Generate charges to student accounts for tuition and fees
  • Record payments and credits to student accounts
  • Follow up directly with families regarding billing questions
  • Follow up with past due accounts
  • Perform monthly reconciliation with FACTS journal entries
  • Maintain an accurate enrollment list, ensuring that enrollment counts in the student billing system and student information system agree, and work with admission staff to resolve discrepancies
  • Collaborate with the Extended Day and Summer Programs Coordinator to ensure proper accounting of incidental fees.
  • Process financial statements, bank deposits, vendor payments and sales taxes for the school spirit shop
  • Work with families, Director of Finance and admission staff to collect and follow up on missing information and documents for financial aid applications
  • Carry out duties and responsibilities confidentially and in an accurate and timely manner with personal initiative and minimal direction
  • Represent the school in a positive manner
  • Interface and maintain positive relationships with administrators, faculty, staff, parents/guardians, and students
  • Be highly organized and detail-oriented
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the Director of Finance

understand and present materials with constituents and co-workers in a harmonious manner.
