Job Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled Food Service Technician to join our team at St. Helena Parish School District. As a key member of our food service operations, you will be responsible for preparing and serving meals, maintaining a clean and safe food service environment, and providing excellent customer service to our students and staff.
**Key Responsibilities:**
• Preparation of meals as assigned by Manager
• Maintenance of a clean and sanitary food service area, including general cleaning and proper storage of food
• Operation of a point-of-sale system and maintenance of records of lunch monies accepted
• Assistance in daily operations of meal service, including interacting with students and staff
• Performance of other duties as assigned by Principals, Supervisor/Director, and Central Office Administration
**Requirements:**
• U.S. Citizen or authorized alien
• Ability to read at a fifth-grade level
• Ability to write
• Ability to lift and carry 25 pounds
• Ability to lift up to 100 pounds with assistance
• Ability to stand or walk up to 7 hours per day
• Ability to push or pull equipment such as food carts and mop buckets
• Ability to complete simple math problems involving addition and subtraction
• Ability to communicate in English
