High School Science Teacher

St. Henry District High School, a National Blue Ribbon School in Erlanger, KY, is seeking a Science teacher for the 2025/2026 school year. SHDHS is a 500-student co-ed college prep high school located in a suburban area of Cincinnati. Duties

• Utilize effective teaching methods to engage students in the learning process, ensuring comprehension of complex concepts.
• Manage classroom dynamics to create a respectful and productive learning atmosphere.
• Assess student performance through various evaluation methods, providing constructive feedback to support their growth.
• Communicate regularly with students, parents, and colleagues regarding academic progress and classroom activities.
• Facilitate public speaking opportunities for students to enhance their communication skills.
• Encourage critical thinking and problem-solving through activities that require students to calculate and write effectively.
• Maintain accurate records of student attendance, grades, and other necessary documentation.

Qualifications

• A bachelor’s degree in education or a related field, with teaching certification in religion or a related field, is preferred.
• Experience working with children in an educational setting is highly desirable.
• Strong classroom management skills with the ability to maintain order and discipline effectively.
• Proficiency in proofreading written materials to ensure clarity and correctness in student assignments.
• Excellent public speaking skills, enabling effective communication with diverse audiences.
• Ability to foster a positive learning environment that encourages student participation and enthusiasm for learning.
