We are seeking a highly skilled Laboratory Sample Collector to join our team at St. James Parish Hospital. As a key member of our laboratory department, you will be responsible for collecting blood and urine samples from patients with accuracy and precision.
Main Responsibilities:
- Collect blood and urine samples from patients using proper venipuncture techniques.
- Enter lab orders into the LIS computer system accurately and efficiently.
- Distribute lab samples to the appropriate lab area in a timely manner.
- Monitor inventory levels and submit requests for supply orders as needed.
- Perform other related duties as assigned by management.
Requirements:
- High School Diploma or equivalent required.
- Certificate in Phlebotomy preferred.
- Current BLS certification required.
- Eligible for employment upon graduation, prefer 6 months' experience.
