About Us: St James Methodist Kindergarten is a faith-based early learning center dedicated to providing a nurturing and developmentally appropriate environment for young children. Rooted in Christian values, we emphasize kindness, creativity, and curiosity in all that we do. We are currently seeking a dedicated and certified Kindergarten teacher to lead a half-day classroom.
Position Overview: The Kindergarten Teacher will be responsible for guiding a small group of young learners through a structured, engaging, and caring morning program. This individual will implement curriculum, assess student progress, and foster a love of learning while modeling the values of St. James Methodist Church.
Key Responsibilities:
-Plan and deliver interactive, developmentally appropriate lessons for Kindergarten aged children.-Foster a safe, inclusive, and faith centered classroom.-Observe and assess student growth and development
-Collaborate with fellow staff to support school wide activities-Maintain classroom organization, safety, and compliance with state standards
Requirements:
-Valid teaching certification preferred
-Previous experience in a classroom setting
-Strong classroom management and communication skills-Passion for early childhood education and Christian values
-Must be willing to come in for training opportunities and ready to create a FUN environment in their classroom
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: From $8,000.00 per year
Expected hours: 20 per week
