Role Description
The candidate will assist the Executive Chef and Sous Chef with the running and management of the kitchen. This candidate will be able to work well under pressure, execute a range of daily tasks; ensure the kitchen produces exemplary food while simultaneously fostering a healthy, happy work environment. Tight, focused, ingredient-drive menu pairing with an extensive natural wine list in a small but busy corner location in the West Village.
Schedule Requirement:
Full time, 5 days per week with 2 days off
Key Responsibilities

Working collaboratively with the Chef

Produce consistent, quality dishes in a fast-paced environment

Provide a positive influence to the team and coverage or assistance to all stations as needed

Work well under pressure while also creating a welcoming work environment that increases staff morale

Ability to multitask, watch wastage, cooking temps and quality to reduce additional costs

Maintain cleanliness and sanitary standards throughout the facility in compliance with DOH standards.

Maintain a safe environment for all Team Members.
Desired Experience

2 years of culinary experience in a full-service kitchen
