What are the responsibilities and job description for the Cage Shift Supervisor position at St. Jo Frontier Casino?
Responsible for Cage Department operations for an assigned shift.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- General cashiering when needed, verifying previous bank count sheet, counting down at end of shift and reconcile to imprest.
- Conduct transactions with other departments.
- Verifies previous main bank count sheet.
- Verification of soft count drops.
- Ensures cage compliance with Federal and State Regulations.
- Overseeing/supervision of front window cashiers and administering breaks, verifying banks prior to cashiers’ departure.
- Administer and enforce internal cash control procedures, investigate all variances incurred during shifts, and prepare required reports.
- New hire training.
- Handles customer complaints.
- Interacts effectively and professionally with the public and co-workers.
- Ensure department uniform, appearance, and grooming standards are followed and maintained.
- Any reasonable request made by your Cage Manager or any other Manager.
- Meet attendance guidelines of the job and adhere to regulatory, department and company policies.
- Keep the work area clean and free of safety hazards, debris, and litter.
- Perform all job duties in a safe and responsible manner.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES: Directly supervises Cage employees on a given shift. Supervisory responsibilities include planning and directing work, appraising performance, rewarding and disciplining team members, and addressing complaints and resolving problems.
QUALIFICATIONS: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to satisfactorily perform each essential duty. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required. All Employees must be knowledgeable about all Company policies and procedures, including fire and safety regulations. Excellent employee and customer service skills are essential. Employees must present a well-groomed and professional appearance and be at least 21 years old.
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:
- High school diploma or equivalent required. Casino cashiering experience is required.
- Must have a broad knowledge of Cashier Cage regulations and procedures with strong organizational, communication, and leadership skills.
CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS: Must be able to obtain and maintain a Missouri Gaming License.
SKILLS:
- Must be able to effectively communicate in English.
- Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
- Must have Microsoft Office experience and basic computer skills.
