We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Veterinary Technician to join our team. Duties
- Assist veterinarians during examinations and surgical procedures, ensuring the comfort and safety of animals.
- Perform routine laboratory tests, including blood work and urinalysis, while maintaining accurate records.
- Administer medications, vaccinations, and treatments as directed by the veterinarian.
- Utilize aseptic techniques during surgical procedures to prevent infection.
- Provide proper animal restraint during examinations and treatments to ensure safety for both the animal and staff.
- Educate pet owners on proper animal care, nutrition, and preventive health measures.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the clinic, including sterilization of instruments and equipment.
- Monitor animal vital signs during procedures and provide critical care when necessary.
- Handle dogs and other animals with confidence, employing appropriate techniques for different species.
Experience
Candidates should possess the following skills and knowledge:
- Proven experience as a Veterinary Technician or in a similar role within an animal care environment.
- Familiarity with veterinary terminology, animal anatomy, and critical care practices.
- Strong skills in animal handling and restraint techniques.
- Knowledge of aseptic techniques to ensure safe practices in a clinical setting.
