Position Overview:
The School Events and Office Coordinator will play a key role in supporting the daily operations of the school, with a focus on organizing events and providing administrative support. This position requires a proactive, detail-oriented individual who can manage multiple responsibilities while maintaining a welcoming and supportive environment that reflects the Catholic values of the school. The coordinator will work closely with faculty, staff, parents, and students to ensure smooth operations of school events and office functions for students ranging from preschool to 8th grade.
Key Responsibilities: Event Coordination:
- Plan and organize school events such as fundraisers, celebrations, and special community events.
- Coordinate event logistics, including venue setup, decorations, catering or food preparation, and volunteer assignments.
- Partner with faculty, parents, and volunteers to organize and promote events.
- Work with the Principal to align events with the school’s mission, Catholic values, and academic calendar.
- Manage event budgets, keeping track of expenses and ensuring cost-effective planning.
Office Support:
- Provide administrative support in the school office, including answering phones, greeting visitors, and managing inquiries from parents and the community.
- Handle student attendance, manage student records, and assist with forms and documentation as needed.
- Assist with communication between the school and families.
- Maintain office supplies and ensure the office runs efficiently.
- Assist with students in the nurses station as needed.
Communication and Collaboration:
- Work closely with faculty and staff to support the smooth coordination of day-to-day school activities and special projects.
- Maintain and update the school’s calendar of events, ensuring all parents and families are informed of upcoming activities.
- Send out reminders for upcoming events, deadlines, and meetings to staff and parents via email, school website, or social media.
- Serve as a point of contact for parents, students, and staff regarding event-related queries.
Volunteer Management:
- Manage volunteers for school events, including coordinating volunteer sign-ups and ensuring that all tasks are covered.
- Develop relationships with parents and community members to foster strong volunteer support for events where necessary.
Qualifications:
- Education: High school diploma required; associate’s or bachelor’s degree in education, event planning, or a related field preferred.
- Experience: Experience in Event planning, administrative support, or related fields, preferably within an educational or Catholic environment.
- Strong organizational, time management, and multitasking skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and familiarity with office equipment.
Background Check: Must pass a background check and complete any required training.

Pay: $17.00 - $20.00 per hour
