Pay: $26.07 - $27.42 per hour
Job Summary:
The Administrative Coordinator is responsible for overseeing the smooth and efficient running of the clerical services provided by the programs. In addition, the Administrative Coordinator works directly with the Director in designing and implementing new services and procedures which will streamline office operations.
Responsibilities:
- Serves as assistant to the Chairman/Department Head performing minor administrative functions as required, and handling all personal and confidential typing/correspondence
- Assists in interviewing, evaluating and hiring clerical and office support staff
- Organizes and delegates secretarial and clerical duties in order to ensure effective and efficient disposition of workload
- Coordinates and schedules secretarial and clerical staffing needs and requests
- Maintains confidential files on departmental personnel
- Responsible for maintenance of 01 Series Policy & Procedure Manual, Departmental Policy & Procedure Manual, and Quality Improvement Meetings and preparation of monthly departmental report to the Medical Executive Committee
- Compiles and provides monthly statistical reports as requested by Chairman / Department Head
- Prepares departmental payroll, special check requests, and purchase requisitions
- Initiates follow- though on all purchase orders with the purchasing agent to ensure timely and orderly delivery to the department
- Acts as liaison for the department
Requirements:
- High School diploma or Equivalency required; BA or BS degree preferred
- 3 - 5 years secretarial experience required with at least 1 - 2 years in supervisory capacity
- Prior experience in health care setting preferred
- Knowledge of computer required
- Ability to take stenography and type proficiently
