Job Summary:
Operates nuclear SPECT camera/computer systems to produce scans of specific anatomical areas and organs for evaluation by trained physicians.
Responsibilities:
- Perform all procedures and exams handled by the Nuclear Medicine Department
- Administration of radio-pharmaceutical preparations
- Maintain records for receipt, storage, use, and disposal of radioactive materials
- Position and transfer patients, providing immobilization devices as necessary
Requirements:
- High School Diploma or Equivalency required
- Satisfaction of formal nuclear technologist training in an approved school
- ARRT Certification
- NYS Radiation License
- 1-3 years experience as Nuclear Medicine Technologist
- Successful completion of formal training of at least 3 months in an approved nuclear medicine department
