Summary:
In collaboration with the Imaging Services Technical Operations Manager, the Special Procedures Technologist ensures the smooth and efficient day-to-day operation of the mammography area by planning and coordinating patient flow, work distribution, inventory control and quality control. Performs Special Procedure Technologist job duties, as required.
Qualifications/Experience:
- At least 3 years experience as a radiological technologist.
- RT's must perform a minimum of 200 mammographic examinations during a 24-month period.
- Must be capable of performing mammography quality control, as outlined by FDA requirements.
- Must have CME credits, as required, for mammography certification as outlined by FDA requirements.
- Knowledge of the performance of interventional (special) procedures.
- Must be familiar with mammography imaging equipment, angiography suite equipment, quality control equipment and general office equipment
- Licensed by N.Y.S. to practice as Radiologist Technologist A.R.R.T. and L.R.T.(R) (M) required
- High School Diploma or G.ED. required. Associates Degree preferred
