Job Summary
Saint John Hospital in Leavenworth, Kansas seeks a dedicated and compassionate Med/Surg Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join our team. The ideal candidate will provide high-quality nursing care to patients in the medical-surgical unit ensuring the best possible outcomes and maintaining our standards of excellence.
Responsibilities:
- Deliver direct patient care under the supervision of Registered Nurses (RNs) and physicians in the medical-surgical unit.
- Administer medications, perform wound care, monitor vital signs, and carry out physician orders accurately.
- Assist with patient assessments, document patient conditions, and update care plans accordingly.
- Educate patients and families on disease management, medications, and post-discharge care.
- Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to deliver comprehensive care.
- Maintain a safe and clean environment for patients, visitors, and staff.
