Responsibilities:
This Med/Surg Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) role involves delivering high-quality nursing care to patients in the medical-surgical unit.
- Deliver direct patient care under the supervision of Registered Nurses (RNs) and physicians.
- Administer medications, perform wound care, monitor vital signs, and carry out physician orders accurately.
- Assist with patient assessments, document patient conditions, and update care plans accordingly.
- Educate patients and families on disease management, medications, and post-discharge care.
- Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to deliver comprehensive care.
- Maintain a safe and clean environment for patients, visitors, and staff.
- Respond promptly to patient needs and emergencies.
Qualifications:
To be considered for this role, you will need:
- A current and valid state license as an LPN/LVN.
- A current BLS certificate upon hire and maintenance.
- IV certification upon hire (state specific).
