Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and adaptable Substitute Teacher to join our educational team. The Substitute Teacher will be responsible for delivering lesson plans, engaging students, and ensuring a positive learning atmosphere.
Duties
- Implement lesson plans provided by the regular teacher to ensure that students continue their learning process.
- Manage classroom behavior and maintain a respectful and productive environment for all students.
- Adapt teaching methods and materials to accommodate different learning styles, including those of students with special needs or autism.
- Foster an inclusive atmosphere that encourages participation from all students, including those in early childhood education settings.
- Communicate effectively with students, staff, and parents regarding student progress and classroom activities.
- Support curriculum development by providing feedback on lesson effectiveness and student engagement.
- Supervise students during various activities, ensuring their safety and well-being at all times.
Requirements
- Experience working with students in an educational setting is preferred.
- Strong classroom management skills to maintain order and facilitate learning.
- Knowledge or experience in special education practices is a plus.
- Familiarity with early childhood education principles is beneficial.
- Experience working with children, particularly those with autism or other developmental challenges, is highly regarded.
- Understanding of Montessori methods or similar educational philosophies is advantageous.
- Ability to develop engaging curriculum materials tailored to diverse learners.
- Proficient in behavior management techniques to support positive student interactions.
