Caregiver
Job Types : Part-time (every other weekend position)
Salary : $16.75 - $19.63 per hour
Shift : 7 : 00am-3 : 00pm
Expected hours : 7.5 hours / week
We currently have two part time morning every other weekend positions available in our assisted living / memory care unit.
Caregiver Job Description :
Being a Caregiver is a great experience to learn about healthcare and how to serve the elders that live at the Meadows Assisted Living and Knutson Place Apartments. The relationships built while working are priceless. We will teach you the skills to be successful.
Some of the duties include daily living cares, housekeeping, light cooking, passing medication and assisting in fun daily activities that make life enjoyable for the tenants.
Caregiving
1. Assist tenants with personal care including but not limited : to dressing, grooming, bathing, and toileting.
2. Assist tenants with walking, transferring, and exercise as needed.
3. Perform basic household services such as cooking, cleaning, and personal laundry.
4. Recognize, assist, and enable tenants to meet their physical, spiritual, emotional, and social (Activities) needs.
5. Administer medication and treatments under the supervision of an RN.
6. Must have the ability to listen carefully to tenant concerns, identify and resolve concerns as they arise. Some concerns or problems may require immediate action.
7. Must be caring, compassionate, respectful, and accommodating to tenants, their family, and friends.
8. Report any changes in the client’s condition to the Housing Manager or RN.
9. Perform all delegated tasks as assigned.
Regulatory Compliance
1. Review and follow tenant’s written plan of care.
2. Accurately complete written documentation of cares and services provided to the tenants.
3. Protect confidentiality of tenant’s medical, spiritual, and emotional status.
4. Work safely and adhere to all OSHA regulations.
5. Practice proper infection control.
6. Maintain a safe environment for the tenants, their family, friends, and coworkers.
7. Participate in mandatory in-service programs
