What are the responsibilities and job description for the Household Coordinator position at St John's Lutheran Community?
St. John's Lutheran Community is looking to hire a Household Coordinator to assist in the orginazation of The Meadows Assisted Living.
POSITION SUMMARY:
The Household Coordinator is responsible for the day-to-day non-nursing operations of The Meadows Assisted Living.
Primary job duties include the following.
1. Meeting with potential new tenants and their families to provide information regarding rents and services.
2. Coordinate a meeting with CNS if there are clinical needs and services.
3. Scheduling, non-nursing orientation, ongoing non-nursing training, and non-nursing supervision of staff.
4. Assuring ongoing compliance with regulatory agencies, and state and federal laws.
5. Assist with Activities of Daily Living, Dietary, Laundry, and Housekeeping.
REQUIRED SKILLS:
1. This position requires good people skills, and a desire to work closely with seniors, their family, and caregivers daily. Must have an appreciation for and acceptance of a wide range of people and personalities. Must be able to maintain a positive disposition when dealing with people, situations, and problems or concerns.
2. Two years of experience in geriatrics is preferred.
3. Must have the ability to listen carefully to tenant, family and team member concerns to identify and resolve concerns as they arise.
4. Possess the ability to communicate effectively with tenants, their family, and caregivers.
5. Possess the ability to teach, supervise, and evaluate C.N.A’s, T.M.A’s, and Caregivers on non-nursing-related tasks.
6. Possess the ability to understand and maintain ongoing compliance with state and federal tenant laws, and state and federal assisted living laws and regulations.
7. Possess the ability to work collaboratively with tenants, staff, administration, CNS, and other allied healthcare providers.
8. Enthusiasm and creativity to develop and implement meaningful recreational activities or social events for the tenants in conjunction with Life Enrichment coordinator.
